Bilbao Port Authority awards Port customers

The Port Authority of Bilbao in official and public acknowledgement of the Port’s customers, presented the “Bilbaoport Customer Awards 2010” to the following companies:

- Shippers: BSH Electrodomésticos and Global Steel Wire.
- Shipowners: Delphis and CCNI.
- Strategies: Michelin and Bridgestone.

The six winning companies were each awarded with a voyage for two on the Iberocruceros cruise vessel Grand Mistral that will sail from the Port of Bilbao’s Getxo Cruise Terminal on September the tenth and return on the seventeenth. The prize-giving ceremony, in fact, coincided with the first call of this vessel at the Port of Bilbao.

The candidates for the awards were voted by the forwarding companies and customs agents from the shippers’ group, and by the shipping companies who chose from shippers, shipowners and ship operators. The jury consisted of representatives from the Port Authority, the Association of Shipping and Stevedoring companies of the Port of Bilbao, the Association of Forwarders, ATEIA and from the Institute of Customs Agents.
